I Miss Rain

I am really excited about getting back to the US so I can start the next part of my life. I can't wait to do US-y things like eat REAL food and shop and see pretty things outside all the time. I'm really excited to hopefully intern at Tech...I was so pumped about the ministry when I was able to help out with Pop-Ice this year, so I would love to be involved in the ministry all year round. I looked around a bit on the Cru staff website today, which I never do, and I stumbled upon the career opportunities page. Cru has SO many great job offerings! I am really excited about them having tons of things I'd be interested in doing - especially because most of them don't require a ton of experience or pre-requesites. This makes me happy because I've spent a lot of time in the past few years looking at jobs within the IMB, Wycliffe, and other Christian organizations, but I was really impressed at what I found on the Cru website today. So, I'm excited about more options for my life and my future, but I realized that I should start focusing on the present now. I have been so focused the past few months on my life after Venezuela, but now that I've found all these exciting new options, knowing me, I'm sure I'll be totally consumed with my next stage of life as soon as I get on campus at Tech. So I had better slow down and be excited about where I am! Sometimes it's tough. But it should be more exciting around here soon because classes are starting and we're getting to go on campus now. We've been to a few private schools and I love them - they're so pretty and very nice. Please pray for the campuses though, there's so much going on right now in Venezuela! One private school that our friends go to has suspended classes due to bombing. Rough times! I'm glad that I'm able to be down here in such a difficult time when people really need the Gospel. Jesus is great! :)

  2. Sydni!! I can totally relate to the whole "I can't wait to get back" thing. Just cling to the promise that God has determined the times and places where we will live (Acts 17:26). Bryan will be here next week and we're going to talk about what's next. I've been thinking about interning at Tech too! haha... let's keep each other posted, k?

    lots of love!
